Aesthetic Plastic Surgery as a sector of Plastic Surgery, aims to repair or improve the outward appearance of a person. Its objective is:

• to repair physical anomalies that may exist at exterior features,
• to improve features that generally are normal,
• to eliminate acquired scars and marks,

so that it can improve outward appearance, without excluding the fact that aesthetic surgery procedures may serve functional objectives as well (e.g. better respiration in the case of rhinoplasty). Aesthetic plastic surgery covers a wide application field and it is improving rapidly.
